Born and raised in Fresno, CA. Having lived the past ten years in SanJose CA, I am now living in Henderson, Nevada. I enjoy walking along the trails and desert landscape especially in the evening when it is not so steaming hot and the city lights are sparkling like gems. Our home is a two story, which like all the others, requires two air conditioning units to keep it cool. It has a very high ceiling and one of my favorite things is having my husband sing with his rumbly deep voice. It fills the whole house! My favorite is an Italien song- Oh, My Sweet Love. When Rick was courting me he wrote poetry which is also included (see love poem tags). I never thought I would write poems, but woke up one morning with a song in my head and I have been writing since.
I tribute two events to writing. A son having left on a mission a few days before and following President Gordon B. Hinckley’s 2005 admonishment that all the Saints read the Book of Mormon by the end of the year. He stated:
Without reservation I promise you that if each of you will observe this simple program, regardless of how many times you previously may have read the Book of Mormon, there will come into your lives and into your homes an added measure of the Spirit of the Lord, a strengthened resolution to walk in obedience to His commandments, and a stronger testimony of the living reality of the Son of God.
…And I have witnessed this personally to be true!
