Civility

All the best artillery
Even for centuries acquired
Does not assure security
When civility has expired

All the best artillery
A nation acquires
Cannot prevent the enemy
From evil desires

The strength of a nation
Is the good people therein
Who found their education
In the home where choice begins

Life, hope, and liberty
Is worthy of any price
And a nation is found hurting
When we forget to be nice

When everything goes wrong
And pockets hurt and fingers point
Hold your tongue in the throng
Lead among those who disappoint

Civility’s the better way
It unites well any group
Dignity does stay
Which is the best thing to recoup

Expose the foolhardy
Who weaken the government
Strengthen your political party
Put in place those who are decent
