Let the Spirit kindle

The Light of Christ within.

Feel it warm and gentle.

A candle to brighten!

Your heart tells you things

That your mind does not

Feel the joy this brings

Lest it be for naught

“Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. BeholdI am the light which ye shall hold up—that which ye have seen me do” (3 Ne. 18:24).

Whenwe have a testimony, we are expected to use it for the benefit ofothers, as Peter was instructed: “When thou art converted, strengthenthy brethren” (Luke 22:32).

A testimony borne today
Can quickly fade away
It must nourished with light
Sprung from faithfulness bright

A testimony made can grow
Bright like the sun
Setting the spirit aglow
Or diminishing to none

A testimony is as fragile
As capturing a beam of light
It is only there to handle
When you align yourself just right

thoughts from:
“The testimony you have today will not be your testimony of tomorrow. Your testimony is either going to grow and grow and grow until it becomes as the brightness of the sun, or it is going to diminish to nothing, depending on what you do about it.”
Harold B. Lee

“Testimony isn’t something you have today, and you are going to have always. A testimony is fragile. It is as hard to hold as a moonbeam. It is something you have to recapture every day of your life.”
Harold B. Lee
